History

Our salon was founded in 1993 on the the west end of Marina Boulevard, under the name of Marina Pet Grooming. In 1996, we moved to our present locaiton at the east end of Marina Boulevard, where we acquired Patrica’s Grooming Salon and named it - Pet Image.

Staff

All of our staff has chosen pet grooming as a career because we love animals. We regularly attend grooming seminars and trade shows in order to provide the highest quality and most up-to-date care for your furry companions.

Elena
Elena is the owner and founder of Pet Image. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and ten years experience caring for dogs in Russia. She immigrated to the United States in 1991, and graduated from grooming college at San Francisco ASPCA in 1993. Elena earned her National Dog Grooming Association of America grooming certificate for Sporting Group dogs in 1999, and for Terrier and Non-Sporting dogs in 2000. In 2000 she also earned her Master Groomer Certificate from the National Dog Grooming Association of America. Since then she has earned many other certificates and awards. Elena has been passionate about animals all her life. She has owned, trained, and shown dogs since childhood, including Black Russian Terriers, Poodles, German Shepherds, and Irish Terriers.

Mary
Mary has been working with animals since she was a teenager. She worked as a groomer at a veterinary clinic in southern California for several years. She then moved to northern California and started grooming at Pet Image in 2007. Mary has a big heart -- she adopted Hammy, a little Chihuahua mix with a broken leg that was a rescue project at Pet Image. We are proud to announce that Mary earned her National Dog Grooming Association of America certificate for Sporting Group dogs in September 2008.

Rosemary
When your pet comes to our salon, s/he will first be treated to a nice warm bath by Rosemary. Our bather since 2005, Rosemary is one of the few bathers certified by the International Professional Groomers in the Bay Area. Her gentle and patient touch will ensure that your pet will return home relaxed, fresh and clean.

Mocha
Mocha has been the receptionist and greeter at Pet Image Grooming since February 2006. She is an AKC champion Irish Terrier, and has been recognized with an Award of Merit at the national competition level. Mocha likes to spend her off-time camping, walking in the park, and playing with Basilio, her favorite cat, and with Druid and Ayfa, her beloved puppies.
